Hurry Rail Pass is the practice of the round sling in the vast and intricate maze of tunnels that is the Tokyo subway. From the beginning we realize that without a map to keep in hand we would not have the slightest chance of succeeding in a journey without a hitch. I stress the importance to carry around a map of the underground with the image of what we have used (metro and trains):

The day was sultry, the heat almost unbearable.
In Shinjuku, there are works in progress, exit the subway and then does not allow us to enjoy the view. In the distance we see the first skyscrapers we have discussed and wanted to see in Italy. In front of the station, a band made up of boys are playing nice music, we pause a moment to listen, then run to the discovery of one of the most charming districts of Tokyo.
We see a large group of well dressed people with a stick in his hand a bit, intent to travel to coordinate some sections of the street "grid." The goal? Collect any garbage from the street.
not I understand why these people were dressed in suits and suit to collect the garbage (and I will not even launch into easy assumptions), the fact is that this is yet another demonstration of the Japanese cleaning.
The problem of cigarette butts is also negligible: most of the Japanese smokes on the premises and the stretches of road marked, throwing everything in the proper ashtray. Smoking on the street is not allowed except in these places (among other numerous enough) but I've more than once to see Japanese smoke almost in secret (with the butt facing the palm of the hand) walking down the street, however I have never seen anyone get fined for this, although there are small police stations every few blocks (so-called Police Boxes).

Ceremony Program Thank You
This is the first time in Tokyo at the discretion of Martha, because it would have to return to Italy before and we did not have other opportunities to enjoy the city.

Must be purchased outside of Japan, then if you need to refer to the travel agent. To withdraw it need only go to the train station (we went to security, Tokyo Station) in the office appropriate (the JAPAN RAIL PASS exchange office. In Tokyo station is clearly indicated by signs and arrows), fill out a form and wait for the delivery of the pass

Once again we diverge from the bewildered crowd to breathe a moment and look at the map. Nothing, yet we have become accustomed. A young lady in the suit notes the difficulty (we later learned that stopping in the middle of the road map is a doubtful look and the perfect way to stop the first Japanese who knows a little English), after a brief but intense explanation we says he knows what course we should take and offers to accompany her to entrance! After 3 or 4
escalators (staying strictly on the left. The right side is hunting for people in a race), after corridors overflowing with people busy and indifferent after sudden turns, we arrived in front of the long-awaited line. Nessun taxi, per carità, ancora adesso mi domando perchè non abbiamo preso un taxi. Ancora troppo inesperti, perchè avremmo potuto imbatterci in taxi del genere:

La camminata è faticosa ma il gioco vale la candela: attorno a noi finalmente vediamo dal vivo ciò che abbiamo sempre visto e ammirato attraverso un video: palazzi altissimi, luci in quantità. Diagram And Bugatti Veyron
[Japan 2007] 20/09 - 24/09 Shiba Park Hotel Tokyo. Part 1.2. The Journey, arrival.
Finally we are ready to go out and see the sky Japanese!
No!
To get to Tokyo we have to take the train. The train takes you directly to the airport. The first time there has been very bad, so we had a train ticket is just a minute left before us (our fault, we did not know exactly where to go and we were not yet accustomed to the signs). The airport staff has come straight up, a lady told us where and how to immediately take the train, then helped us to make another ticket that we have not paid, because basically we had not used one before. Comodo. It does not seem appropriate to make yet another comparison with what happens to us.
The train was clean and cool air conditioning (there is a place in the world that takes advantage of the air conditioning as well as Japan), a small television were given updates about the latest stock quotes, and out of the windows .. . out of the windows? Nothing.
It seemed the night, but basically they were just after 18:00. The windows were blacked out? They could be so much.
Travel, therefore, was anonymous for about an hour, just long enough to reach the outskirts of Tokyo ...
Lights!
Blind.
Lights! On the streets that sometimes appeared and disappeared in seconds.
Blind.
This was our first trip to the extravagant metropolis.
After about two hours of travel we finally arrive at Tokyo station. Kindly help us to move our bulky luggage and off to the luc .. not yet. To define
Tokyo station are just two words: "immense" and "city". This is a city within a city, pass me the pun. To make half a mind to look at the map:

A huge flow of people seems to come and keep us on the last second. We feel disoriented.
Why can not they all clash?
A bit hesitant we are reaching the first exit that we see ...
... big mistake, the outputs are dozens and distant from each other. In the hallways of this huge metal tunnel we see a myriad of restaurants, newsagents, shops which fail to understand the utility. 
Finally we are ready to go out and see the sky Japanese!

dead tired but happy, finally landed on the ground Nipponica! The journey exhausting it did not help to throw down in the dumps.
After landing (which are not followed the applause typically Italian-_-) all the passengers come together in one place waiting to get on some sort of "monorail" that takes passengers from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2, always see everything without even a glimpse of heaven in Japan.
Small sore point: we have waited a long time before I could get on the "monorail", namely 2 laps (about 5 minutes apart). I did not figure out if there were technical problems or too many passengers, but once resomi account of this transport system I would expect to see more than 2 monorails do back and forth.
After the usual queues for routine checks (this is particularly, and rightly so hard) and reach the baggage claim and we already see our incredibly removed from the tape on the side. All our luggage. Together.
Now, there is to think of all the times you have been up half an hour in the queue in front of the baggage claim belts in Italy, with the constant feeling of never see your stuff?

Fear (of boredom) in air travel of 13 / 14 hours is a lot, fortunately the aircraft company of Japan Airlines (JAL) we thought made a number of entertainment to pass the time during the trip.
This leisure has many names: MAGIC-I, MAGIC-II-III MAGIC, MAGIC-IVI but one purpose: entertainment.
This is a small interactive television installed on the back of each chair (at the side of the chair in case of first row) equipped with a remote control and headphones.
With Magic you can watch movies (in English or in Japanese, sometimes it happens Italian), listen to a thirty radio, check the outside temperature, altitude, speed and position of the aircraft, enable the two cameras that takes everything what happens before and under the hull (fun especially during the start and Landing. Ours was a face for most of the night, so we were not able to admire the scenery very high altitude).

Advice for the journey
- Sometimes you feel as cold to feel hot, so you should dress in layers
- Personally, I regretted not having brought one of those donuts to be placed around his neck, would make me very comfortable. You can find the airport, but are more expensive, so better to take them home. They are inflatable, so they take up very little space.
- of Use for your trip and wear comfortable shoes to be removed at your leisure.
- At a certain time the lights are lowered, if you're going to sleep and still give you trouble, bring a mask for the eyes.
- better try to stay awake during the journey, on arrival you will be able to get used more Time Zone.

Now write some posts of the trip to Japan that we have done in the now distant 2007. I had already entered elsewhere, but I prefer to collect them all in this blog.
Actually it all happened quickly, perhaps too much. The idea of \u200b\u200ba voyage to Japan was in the air already for some time, but had always been taken as a "something to do at least once before I die."
To clarify this preface I must specify that the work site staff FFOnline ( Italy Everything about Final Fantasy Online Final Fantasy ), dedicated to a particular Japanese video game franchise. Here I met other people who are passionate like me and willing to fly halfway around the world. Thus, from day to day (or at least when we were financially able) have decided to organize this trip. When I write "any day", I mean really "overnight".

Alone we were not able to establish places, hotels, sightseeing etc ... For this reason we turned to a travel agency with which we were able to draw up an itinerary enviable.

Now that I think back to the classic debates about time that we found, of food, clothing we should bring on luggage, tickets, time zone, etc. .. I lose a smile, because everything has unfolded in games played as naturally as possible.
